Pretty hilarious, I think. There are still Knicks fans commenting on how he will be a Knick, even though they will not have the cash. CP3 seems to only be interested because of MJ (he is signed with Jordan Brand). Even a few comments on Dwight, who of course people think will be a Laker.
With his late season surge, Brook Lopez will finish with a scoring average of better than 20 points a game. That puts him in elite company. Only six NBA seven-footers 22 or under averaged that much in a single season. Lopez turned 23 on April 1. The source of the data, Basketball Reference, lists players' ages as of Feb. 1. The others are Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal (three times), Dirk Nowitzki and Bill Cartwright.
It's hardly any solace as the Nets' wretched season comes to a wretched, injury-filled end, but the Lakers are also having troubles and as a result, their pick, acquired in the Terrence Williams trade, is becoming more valuable. After their fifth straight loss (with two to play) Sunday, the Laker pick has gone from #29 to tied (with the Mavericks and Celtics) for #25. L.A. is only a game ahead of the Thunder at #24. The Nets dive also could mean a higher pick in the second round. Currently, the Nets are at #35, tied with the Kings. In case of ties, the league holds a coin toss the day after the season ends.
Under the "Nets Basketball" tab, there's information about the "Nets All-Access Pass" which opens with: "Your BROOKLYN NETS season tickets will provide all of the exclusive benefits and privileges of the Nets All-Access Pass."

Mike Fratello has won 666 NBA games, and although he's been penciled in several times for jobs beyond the Telestrator, it hasn't happened. So the YES analyst will be coaching the Ukraine National Team this summer at the FIBA Europe qualifier. He talks to Al Iannazzone about what he hopes to do and the bargain he struck with Alexander Volkov, former Hawk and head of the Ukraine Basketball Federation: He won't coach against Team USA.
