It was just about as bad of a road trip as they come. The Nets lost five straight games (and nine of the last 11), not to mention a $100,000 fine from the league for resting its players before said trip. They’re quickly sinking in the standings with a 15-20 record. Needless to say, they need a win in the worst way...
... against a tough Thunder team.
WHO: OKC Thunder (23-10) at Brooklyn Nets (15-20)
WHEN: 7:30 PM ET
WHERE: YES Network (TV); WFAN-FM (Radio)
Injuries: Dennis Smith Jr was a late scratch on Wednesday due to a back injury. He’s listed as probable. Same for Lonnie Walker IV who’s missed 15 games. Ben Simmons is out.
Everyone’s good to go for the Thunder. Youth is a wonderful elixir.
The Game: OKC won the first meeting. This is the third game in four nights for both teams, and both squads flew in to New York from road games on Wednesday. Fortunately for the Thunder, they have a weekend off before returning to action on Monday night in DC against the Nets. The Nets have one day off before a Sunday afternoon game against the Portland Trailblazers. After that, they fly to Paris for the NBA Global Games!
