It’s strange trying to get used to the Brooklyn Nets playing most of all their games on national television. But, here we are.
Thursday night, yet again, they will play on national TV. This time, on TNT, against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavs, of course, have Luka Doncic; one of the league’s best players. While the Nets, well, they have three of the league’s best players. If my math is correct, the Nets have two more of the league’s best players than the Mavs do.
In other news, Doge Coin...just kidding. Mark Cuban loves Doge, but I think we’ve heard enough about it.

WHO: Brooklyn Nets (43-23) at Dallas Mavericks (37-28)
WHEN: 7:30 PM EST
WHERE: TNT (national), YES (local), WFAN (radio)
Like most Rick Carlisle teams, the Mavs are very disciplined when it comes to taking care of the ball. As a team, they’ve only turned it over 12.6 percent of the time they’ve had the ball, third best mark in the NBA this season. It’s helped them to be one of the league’s better offensive attacks this season and their ability to make the most out of every possession will help them stay in this game.
So the Josh Richardson experience hasn’t been all that great this year? They brought him in from Philadelphia to bolster their perimeter defense and provide a little bit of offense to open things up. The offense certainly hasn’t been there for him as he’s shooting a career low 32.2 percent from three. His percentages have dropped each of the last three seasons as he’s been on different teams each year. They’ll need him to be a lot better come playoff time so now would be as good a time as any to get it in gear.
