The Yankees better be good because they’re taking over the YES Network airwaves 13 times when the Nets will be playing critical games down the NBA stretch.

Due to conflicts with YES’ Yankees coverage, those 13 upcoming YES-produced Brooklyn Nets game will air live on “YES2,” a loose network of on the YES affiliates around the New York metropolitan area. The network does not include Xfinity, Comcast’s cable provider which is one of the largest in the region and dominates in New Jersey. Seven of the 13 games will also be on national television: ABC, ESPN, TNT or NBA TV. All of YES’ Nets game telecasts are streamed live on the YES App,

Such conflicts are nothing new for Nets fans, but the number is larger than in past seasons. Because of the pandemic, the NBA season is extending deeper into the MLB season, setting up more conflicts. The conflicts will no doubt mean a drop in ratings for the YES broadcasts.
