Luca Banchi, 55, is one of the most experienced Italian Serie A League and Euroleague head coaches. He has won multiple Italian League championships as an assistant coach and head coach. In fact, Banchi uniquely won Serie A championships with both Siena and Milan earlier in the decade.
In recent years, he has coached Brose Bamberg in Germany, AEK Athens in Greece and Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia, all Euroleague clubs. Over the last five years, his regular season record in European domestic leagues is 79-25.
Brielmaier, who had worked as a Brooklyn Nets assistant for four years, was named head coach of Long Island last month.
In addition, Bridgewater State University recently congratulated Gale McCall, who received a doctorate in physical therapy from the school, on joining Long Island.
