Here we are, north of the mid-way mark in the 2019-20 NBA season and the Nets are south of .500 and looking for some rhythm.

The bad news, Kyrie Irving is injured again and likely out for at least a week. The badder news, D’Angelo Russell, who last year led the Nets to the playoffs on a rather miraculous run, will return to Brooklyn as part of the Golden State Warriors.

A fan favorite, Russell is averaging 23.8 points and 6.3 assists per game, playing in 32 of his team’s 50 games this season. So, he hasn’t been without a few hiccups in his season, but, when he’s on the court he’s been great.

The good news? Brooklyn is on a stretch of games where each and every one of them is winnable and the Nets really need to take advantage of that, but it all starts on Wednesday when, still, fan favorite D-Lo returns to Brooklyn.
