Fresh off a home win against the Bulls where Kyrie Irving scored 54 points, the Nets are back at it again on Saturday, this time on the road in Washington D.C. where they’ll take on the Wizards.
Kyrie Irving was something else on Friday night, huh? Wow.
The Wizards are led by All-Star snub Bradley Beal, who like Kyrie has the ability to go off and have a monster game on a given night.
Brooklyn could really use this win, as the better team, in their quest to get back to .500.
WHO: Brooklyn Nets (21-26) at Washington Wizards (16-31)
WHEN: 8:00 PM EST
WHERE: YES Network (tv), WFAN (radio)
Honest to God, the Wizards might be the worst defensive team I’ve ever seen in my life. They’re allowing an astonishing 116.6 points per 100 possessions, and their propensity to allow teams trips to the free throw line make things worse for them. It’s breathtaking.
Did anybody see this coming from Davis Bertans because I sure as hell didn’t. He was a nice reserve with the San Antonio Spurs, but now that he’s seeing more minutes and opportunities, everything’s coming up roses. He’s got a .431/.422/.878 slash line in 29 minutes a night.
