A Colorado sports book has listed the Nets at 8-1 odds to win it all next season, the third best odds in the NBA and the favorite to come out of the East.
SportsBetting.com on Monday laid out the opening odds...
The odds, of course, are based on the healthy return of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, plus no doubt the resigning of free agent Joe Harris. All are seen as likely.
With the NBA Finals still underway, a lot of fans on social media are braving the jinx of early expectations and predicting a Nets drive to their first NBA championship and their first title since the 1976 ABA championship.

At least one Nets player thinks a team like the Nets, with all their talent, has to think big.
“We understand the talent we have, we understand the expectations, we understand the championship-type of mentality,” Spencer Dinwiddie said on House of Highlights’ “Through the Wire” podcast on Friday.
“We also are realistic in the sense of, ‘Hey, everything’s a process, we don’t go out and make guarantees.’ But we want to put our best foot forward, and we believe in our talent and want to win. Obviously there’s no other reason to do this, to play this game, team up and all that stuff.”
