You know the story by now. The Nets have lost four straight, 8 of their last 10, and now have to take on LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the first place Lakers on national TV on Thursday night.
Sounds fun, right?
Kyrie Irving (shoulder) will look to get going in this one - a game that isn’t a must-win, but, damn sure feels like these desperately need it.
They’ve gotta turn this thing around, and maybe, just maybe that can start on Thursday night?
WHO: Brooklyn Nets (18-24) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (35-9)
WHEN: 8:00 PM EST
WHERE: TNT (tv), WFAN (radio), Barclays Center (live)
Spencer Dinwiddie should be able to feast on the Lakers second unit. Alex Caruso has been capable, but Rajon Rondo’s reputation is carrying him more than his play on the court this season. Dinwiddie has played at an All Star level for most of the year and a big showing on TNT will do wonders for his candidacy when the All Star reserves get announced on January 30.
The All-Star starters and team captains will be announced at 7 p.m. on TNT.
