Back at the end of last season, you might remember that Kendrick Perkins was ballyhooed as an FOK, Friend of Kevin’s, and so his prediction on ESPN that Kevin Durant was headed to the Clippers or the Knicks was given credibility.
Well, based on Thursday night’s Twitter war between the two, maybe they were so friendly after all (and oh yeah, he was wrong on which New York team held the biggest lure for KD.)
One night after getting into it with Knicks fans, including Brandon Tierney of CBS Sports, on Twitter, Durant was at it again with Perkins over who was responsible for the Thunder never winning any NBA rings. Rather than post all the tweets, the back-and-forth, we’ll let ESPN give it a ride. Let’s just say, KD and Perkins don’t hold back, not on Perkins’ lack of production in OKC nor Durant’s “weak move” signing with Golden State.
Greeny, take it away...
Even Shaq took KD’s side, calling Perkins “Tragic Brunson” and showing a video clip of Perkins play for the Thunder...

As did Charles Oakley...
@KendrickPerkins don’t let TV get to you. @KDTrey5 was best player on @okcthunder and best player on any team he is on. Don’t be like Barkley.

And Gilbert Arenas...

Later Friday, Perkins came on ESPN to huff and puff about the feud...

Maybe Durant was pissed off at Perkins’ dismissal of his achievements in Oklahoma. Maybe he likes trolling Perkins, who now has an ESPN gig, or maybe he recalled (as do we) what Perkins said about a real FOK, Kyrie Irving.
Kyrie looked at the schedule before the season started and planned this whole injury thing because he didn’t want to go back to Boston this upcoming week!!! He didn’t want that smoke in the Bean Town. Smh

A classic attempt at clickbait and for an NBA player, a cheap shot.
So who will KD go after next? We are standing by.
