At Kyrie Irving’s signing ceremony, ‘The Two Seans’ and some New Jersey nostalgia

Kyrie Irving posted a gallery of new photographs of him signing his Nets contract —a reported four years at $141 million— on Instagram Sunday, complete with appearances by Sean Marks and Jay-Z, aka Shawn Carter, as well as officials of the Nets front office and RocNation Sports, his new agent.

In addition, the postings seem to show that once Irving signed, he switched caps, donning a vintage New Jersey Nets cap. Moreover, he posted a picture him as a child holding a red white and blue Nets ball, with the message, “It’s always been in the cards.”

Irving went back to West Orange, NJ, to sign the contract. With Jay-Z/Sean Marks watching, Irving signed the contract on a table set up on the basketball court at Roosevelt Middle School, where he learned to play the game.

Meanwhile, Kevin Durant announced via Twitter that he will wear No. 7, posting an image of his new uni (Coogi style) in the Nets locker room.

Another good day!
