NBA: Miami Heat at Brooklyn Nets Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

And here we go!

A week after free agency began, the team has been remade, with two superstars arriving, some fan favorites departing. Assuming the Nets want to keep Theo Pinson —and they did extend him a qualifying offer— they’ve filled 14 roster spots. Jaylen Hands, as a deep second round pick, is not guaranteed a spot but it does look like the Nets will go for a back-up point guard but as the off-season has proven, ya never know! No word on two-way contracts, but the Summer League will help sort that out.

Now, the real fun begins: the signings and housekeeping on Saturday, a press conference introducing Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving (and presumably the other new additions) not long after. And of course there’s the SUMMER LEAGUE!

July 5-July 15NBA Summer League, Las Vegas. All 30 teams will be represented as will the Chinese and Croatian national teams. Nets open against the Mavericks on July 5 at 7 p.m. ET. Jarrett Allen, Rodions Kurucs, Dzanan Musa and Theo Pinson from last year’s squad will play. So will Isaia Cordinier, the Nets stash. And of course rookies Nicolas Claxton and Jaylen Hands will be on hand in Vegas. As for the rest, there’s Jason Max Rose’s viewing guide.

July 6 — July moratorium ends. Teams can begin officially signing players, extending players, and completing trades. The Nets have a full plate of moves set for Saturday, There has been word of agreements and rumors, but the moves can’t officially take place until now. Here’s a summary of what gets done.

*The Allen Crabbe-for-Taurean Prince trade. Officially, the trade is Crabbe and two first round picks, the 17th pick in 2019 (Nickeil Alexander-Walker), and a lottery protected Nets pick in 2020 for Prince and a 2021 second rounder.

*The double sign-and-trade that will send Kevin Durant and a heavily protected first rounder to the Nets for D’Angelo Russell, Shabazz Napier, Treveon Graham and reportedly cash considerations. The Warriors will forward Napier and Graham to the Timberwolves. The year and restrictions of the pick will be disclosed.

*Kyrie Irving, DeAndre Jordan, Garrett Temple, WIlson Chandler, Nicolas Claxton and Jaylen Hands can all sign free agent deals with Brooklyn. Theo Pinson, a restricted free agent, can sign with the Nets or another team if he gets an offer sheet. The 48-hour moratorium begins on offer sheets signed by restricted free agents begins.

* Nets can sign Caris LeVert (and Taurean Prince) to extensions starting in the 2020-21 season. That window closes October 21. If they are not signed, both would be restricted free agents next July 1.

Expect the Nets to make a big deal about the superstar signings on BrooklynNets.com and on social media. This doesn’t happen every day ... to any NBA team.

July TBA - Nets will stage a press conference to introduce and welcome their new players. Don’t expect anything before the end of the Summer League, which is July 15.

July 27 - WNBA All-Star Game, Las Vegas. You can vote for your favorite Liberty players on nyliberty.com

August 6 - WNBA Trade Deadline

August 11 - Liberty return to Barclays Center for their only regular season game in Brooklyn vs. the Seattle Storm.

August 31-September 15 - FIBA World Cup, China. No word on who might be playing or not playing for their national teams among Nets players, stashes — or future picks. Latvia (Rodions Kurucs) and Bosnia (Dzanan Musa) didn’t qualify so they won’t be participating. It doesn’t appear that Isaia Cordinier will play for France either. Will Weaver, the former Long Island head coach, is an assistant coach for the Australian national team.

September 8 - Last day of WNBA regular season.

September 11 - WNBA playoffs begin.

September 27 — Training camp opens for the Nets. Teams who play preseason games overseas get a head start over the other clubs who open their camps three days later.

October 4 - Nets host Basquete Franca of Brazil in what is likely the first preseason game. Preseason schedule has yet to be officially announced but the Brazilian press has confirmed it.

October 8 - Last possible date for WNBA Finals

October 10-12 — Nets and Lakers travel to China for the NBA China Games where they’ll play two games vs. the Lakers in Shanghai (October 10) and Shenzhen (October 12).

October 21 - Last day the Nets can extend Caris LeVert or Taurean Prince to an extension.
