From a Soviet-era apartment complex in Cesis, Latvia to the bright lights of the NBA at Barclays Center, a new film tracks the journey of Rodions Kurucs, the Nets surprising rookie.
Entitled, “From Cesis to Brooklyn,” the 10-minute film features the 21-year-old talking about life in Latvia growing up, how he hired an agent at age 12 (not a typo) and how a family situation, then injuries, slowed him down initially before he decided it’s time to try the NBA.
