The Brooklyn Nets are getting off to an early start on Friday, as the Boston Celtics come to Barclays Center for an early, very early, 12:00 noon EST start.

Nets will be without Kyrie Irving, again, after tracking pretty well against the Celtics on Wednesday without him, in a 121-110 loss.

Brooklyn will look to get above .500 with a win over Boston.

WHO: Brooklyn Nets (9-9) vs. Boston Celtics (13-4)

WHEN: 12:00 PM EST

WHERE: YES Network (tv), WFAN (radio), Barclays Center (live)

Game Preview

Gotta admit, it’s taken some time getting used to Jaylen Brown with this haircut. That said, he’s been off to a solid start after signing his four year contract extension earlier this Fall. As you’d expect with Irving and Al Horford gone, more playmaking opportunities sre available for Brown, and he’s making the most out of it. His shooting percentages are up, his assists are up, and his turnovers are down. Combine that with solid defense and positional versatility and you’ve got yourself a real nice player to build your foundation around. He’s also a really smart brother and I always find myself interested in hearing what he has to say.
