The dog days of August are upon us. As of Sunday morning, 18 of Brooklyn’s 20 training camp slots are filled: 15 players with guaranteed deals and three camp invitations in the persons of Theo Pinson, Tyson Davis and Mitch Creek. That leaves only the two two-way roster slots to be filled.

So don’t expect much now in terms of personnel moves. The so-called “volume” off-season is basically over. The next thing we’ll likely see if the NBA schedule.

Here’s the calendar...

Early August - NBA schedule is announced. Who do the Nets open against? When will they face the Hawks and Jeremy Lin, the Wizards and Dwight Howard, the Raptors and Kawhi Leonard, the Lakers and LeBron James, the reigning champion Warriors and, of course, the Knicks.

August 4 - Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and the Nets new minority owner will play in a charity event sponsored by Jeremy Lin in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. Spencer Dinwiddie, in China for JLin instructional league, may join them.

August 13 - NBA G League Player Invitational (Chicago). Players are invited to show their skills to G League coaches and executives.

August 23 - NBA G League Expansion Draft. The Wizards new affiliate, Capital City Go-Go, will pick players from a pool provided by the league’s 25 current teams.

August 31 — Last day teams may waive players and apply the stretch provision to their 2018/19 salaries.

September 7 - Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2018 Enshrinement Ceremony. Jason Kidd and Rod Thorn will be enshrined, at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.

September 13 - 16 - FIBA World Cup Qualifiers continue in Europe. Nets stash Aleksandar Vezenkov ’s Bulgarian national team will take on powerhouses France and Russia, but Olympiacos, Venezkov’s new pro team, has exhibition games that same weekend. (Bosnia and Australia also play in the European and Asian qualifiers, but it appears unlikely Dzanan Musa will play for his national team. No idea yet re: Creek. Isaia Cordinier, the Nets stash acquired in the Jeremy Lin trade, is rehabbing from knee surgery and won’t play for France.)

September 25 - Nets training camp opens with Media Day in Brooklyn. which is where the Nets will train this season. Last year, camp was at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Nets have previously trained at Duke University in Durham, NC.

Late September - Long Island Nets will hold local player tryouts.

October 3 - 12 - Nets will open the 2018-19 campaign with a four-game preseason schedule that includes only one home game at Barclays Center on October 3 vs. the Knicks, but will make their inaugural appearance in the NBA Canada Series a week later, playing in Montreal. The Nets will play the Knicks twice, once at Barclays and once at Madison Square Garden.

October 16 - Rosters set for NBA Opening Day. Each team will have 15 players and two two-way players.

October 16 - Start of the 2018-19 NBA Regular Season (NBA Tip-Off 2018)

October 20 - 2018 NBA G League Draft, 1 p.m. The Long Island Nets have been stocking their draft shelves and currently have two picks in the first round, six in the first two rounds. Their highest pick is No. 14, not high enough to grab the two high school stars who are eligible: Brian Bowen II and Darius Bazley.

October 23 - NBA G League training camps open. Long Island Nets train at their facility in New Cassel on the island.

October 23-November 1 - NBA G League Preseason games.

October 29 - The Manhattan federal court trial of sports-talk personality Craig Carton on charges that he scammed $4 million from investors through a ticket-resale Ponzi scheme. Expect a lot of testimony about how he fooled BSE officials into unknowingly assisting the scheme.

October 31 - Spencer Dinwiddie has a $1.7 million non-guaranteed contract. The contract becomes $250,000 guaranteed if the point guard is not waived by this date. It becomes fully guaranteed on January 5.

November 2 - NBA G League 10-man opening day rosters set by 5 p.m.

November 3 - 2017-18 NBA G League season tips off. It will be new coach Will Weaver’s debut.

December 8 - The Nets and Dinwiddie can begin extension talks on this, the second anniversary of his signing in 2016. He is eligible for a contract that’s four years and roughly $44 million.
