GAME THREAD: Nets vs. Rockets in Las Vegas Summer League, 6 p.m.

NBA: Summer League-Brooklyn Nets at Minnesota Timberwolves Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

The Nets, who haven’t won yet in Summer League, will play its first game in the league tournament Wednesday evening, facing the Rockets at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. The game is televised on ESPN2.

Jarrett Allen will play but Caris LeVert is not. Also neither Rodions Kurucs (unresolved buyout) and Juan Pablo Vaulet (foot injury) are out. Vaulet, in fact, has returned to Argentina without playing a minute. Yuta Watanabe and Shawn Dawson have been the leading scorers in their absence

The Rockets will feature two players who wore Nets jerseys in 2015, Markel Brown and Quincy Miller. Miller played in training camp but was cut. Also on the Houston roster: shooting guard De’Anthony Melton, the Rockets second round choice, and point guard Trevon Duval of Duke, one of the top undrafted player.

The Nets are 28th seed in the tournament, the Rockets are fifth.
