Three Long Island Nets players scored more than 25 points Tuesday night as the Nets affiliate defeated the Greensboro Swarm, 129-118 at Nassau Coliseum. The win put Long Island back at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 6-2 record.
Alan Williams, the Nets 6’9” two-way, finished with 28 points along with 19 rebounds, cementing his position as Long Island’s top scorer and the G League’s leading rebounder. Dzanan Musa, who played a lot of point guard, had 26 points and seven assists while Mitch Creek tallied 25 points and seven rebounds.
In addition, Theo Pinson continued his high BBIQ exploits with 19 points, eight assists and five rebounds while shooting 3-of-8 from deep. Rodions Kurucs, who had early foul trouble, played only 17 minutes and scored three points and grabbed four rebounds.

The game was tight early with the first quarter ending in a 32-all tie. The Nets would continue their torrid scoring through the second quarter, leading by as many as 13 in the quarter and scoring 39 points in the quarter alone. Creek finished the half with 21.
Greensboro battled back in the third, becoming the team with the hot hand. With 3:21 to play in the third, Greensboro tied the game at 90. The Nets would take a three-point lead heading into the fourth before coasting to an 11-point victory.
Hornets two-way forward and Xavier product J.P. Macura led all scorers with 31 points to go along with four rebounds, an assist and a steal. Swarm guard Jaylen Barford also recorded 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a block in the effort.
