After going down early, the Long Island Nets dominated in the second half and ultimately coasted to a 128-115 win over the Delaware Blue Coats, staying undefeated in G League competition.
Now 4-0, the Nets went down 11-0 and 21-10 before finding their chemistry against the Philly affiliate which was depleted. Their two top players were called up to the 76ers to replace Dario Saric and Robert Covington, sent to Minnesota in the Jimmy Butler deal.
The Nets were led again by Brooklyn roster player Dzanan Musa and their two two-way players, Alan Williams and Theo Pinson. Musa finished with 22 points— eight in the second quarter when the Nets turned things around. He was 8-of-18 overall and 2-of-5 from deep. Thev 19-year-old, one of the G League’s youngest players, is averaging 21.3 points a game.
Williams who missed the previous game with right knee soreness returned with an 18-point, 6-rebound effort, playing only 20 minutes. The 6’8” Williams remains Long Island’s leading scorer and rebounder at 23.7 and 13.7.
Pinson played his typical heady game. He scored only 12 points but grabbed eight rebounds, handed out six assists and hit 3-of-7 from deep, Pinson is now averaging 20.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists, He’s also shooting 44.4 percent from three, where he’s gaining consistency in an area seen as a liability coming out of college.

The Nets also got another good game from Mitch Creek, the 6’5” Australian who finished the 17 points and six rebounds while Jordan McLaughlin had 15 points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals.
After going down early, the Nets went on a 9-0 run in the second quarter. The two teams went back-and-forth until Creek hit a three with a little less than four minutes left. The Blue Coats made a run in the third to tie it up at 73. At that point, Long Island got serious and went on a 14-3 run to put it away.
The Nets built up their largest lead of the game in the fourth, leading by 21 with 7:49 to play.
Long Island now heads out on a four-game road trip.
