Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons Live Game Thread: Preseason game no. 2

Nets head to Detroit in hopes of winning their first preseason game.

NBA: Preseason-Detroit Pistons at Oklahoma City Thunder Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

WHO: Brooklyn Nets (0-1) vs. Detroit Pistons (1-1)

WHAT: Game 2 of the 2018-19 preseason.

WHERE: Little Caesars Arena, Detroit, MI

WHEN: 7:00 p.m. EST

HOW: Yeah, see, about that - it’s not being shown locally, but in Michigan you can watch on Fox Sports Detroit.

THE STORY: Game Preview.

Welp, the first Nets preseason game didn’t go quite as smoothly as I’m sure most of us had hoped. It’s never fun losing to the Knicks, even in an exhibition game. At least Rodions (Hot Rodi?) Kurucs looked good! Healthiest Latvian in New York, baby!! Anyway, it’s on to the next one for the Nets, and the Detroit Pistons are the opponent.

Coached by an old Atlantic Division foe in Dwayne Casey, Detroit will be looking to finally unlock the Andre Drummond/Blake Griffin/Reggie Jackson trio and make something — anything really — useful out of their almost-stars. We’re still in the “Let’s-just-make-sure-everyone-is-in-basketball-shape-and-knows the-playbook-and-please-please-please-don’t-get-injured” stage of the preseason, but this match-up may still serve as a test for the Nets big man rotation as they head into the season.
