Allen Crabbe likely, (New dad) Rondae Hollis-Jefferson questionable for Nets

NBA: Brooklyn Nets-Media Day Nicole Sweet-USA TODAY Sports

After a miserable night from deep Wednesday, the Nets are likely to welcome back Allen Crabbe to the line-up against the Knicks Friday night in the Barclays Center home opener.

Crabbe (left ankle sprain) is probable. The 40 percent career three-point shooter should help the Nets rectify their 5-of-27 (18.5 percent) performance from beyond the arc vs. the Pistons.

But the big news is that Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (personal) is questionable. He’s healthy alright ... and excited ... and a DAD. He became a father Thursday and in Netsland, family comes first. So it’s up to him.

Congratulations to RHJ and the new mom as well. (No name yet.)

Meanwhile, DeMarre Carroll (who underwent right ankle arthroscopy Tuesday), Shabazz Napier (right hamstring strain), and Alan Williams (right ankle sprain) are still out and there’s no word on when they’ll be ready.
