Mike Scotto of Basketball Insiders reports that the Brooklyn Nets worked out Tyler Zeller recently. This follows reports Jared Sullinger, like Zeller, a former Celtic, was in Brooklyn for a workout. Both are unrestricted free agents.

According to a league source, Zeller was at HSS Training Center for two or three days. Sullinger reportedly worked out for a longer period. The Nets are in dire need for depth in the frontcourt.
Zeller has career averages of seven points and 4.4 rebounds per game with stints in Cleveland and most recently Boston, where he played three seasons. He has never hit a three-pointer in his five-year career.

The Nets only have two players 6’10” or taller and one of them is the 19-year-old rookie, Jarrett Allen. Two of the six “bigs” on the roster are seen as stretch big men. Zeller or Sullinger likely wouldn’t fit the script on spreading the floor, but the Nets still have open roster spots.
