It's street ball in the park!
The Brooklyn Nets will host “Practice in the Park” on Saturday, October 14th at Brooklyn Bridge Park, an event where fans will get a chance to watch the team practice in a ‘Brooklyn basketball’ environment.
The Nets hold an open practice every year. The first couple of seasons they did it at Barclays Center. Last year was at LIU Brooklyn. Its another way of connecting the players and the fans in the Brooklyn community.
The open practice and a "block party" will allow fans to meet the team, watch the Nets practice in an outdoor setting, and tip-off the opening week of the 2017-18 season. The Nets open in Indiana four days later.
The park has basketball courts on the water that overlooks the New York City skyline.
"Practice in the Park" will be a free ticketed event, open to the public. Tickets will become available on Friday, September 29. You can sign up here.
Maybe the Nets can recreate the final moments of D'Angelo Russell's Dyckman Park debut early in the summer.
