Jared Ralsky, an executive who worked for the Spurs, Bucks, and Pelicans before heading to Europe two years ago, has been hired as a scout by the Nets, according to statement from his Italian team, Aquila Basket Trento of the Italian Serie A.
In the translated statement, Aquila Basket said it had reached a resolution with the Nets “allowing him to seize a new overseas opportunity with the Brooklyn Nets.” Ralsky was Assistant General Manager and Scouting Director for Trento.
There’s been no official announcement from the Nets; a league source says Ralsky will serve as a scout. Ralsky and Sean Marks worked together in the Spurs organization. Among the players on the Trento roster is former Net, Jorge Gutierrez.
A native of Chicago, Ralsky moved to Trento as scouting director in the summer of 2015 after spending eight years between the NBA and D-League. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Ralsky first worked for the Spurs, then the Bucks, before returning to the Spurs D-League club, the Austin Toros. Marks was GM of the Toros. From 2012 to 2015, Ralsky was part of the New Orleans Pelicans, rising to the role of basketball operations manager.
