Hey, so today we’re part of a really fun experiment with the folks over at the SB Nation mothership. With the “news”, slash, rumors of a possible expansion team ending up in Seattle, we were asked to take part of an Expansion Draft - meaning, we’re allowed to protect 8 current players and the fictional Seattle team is allowed to draft from the remaining players left unprotected.
Pretty straightforward.
All teams in the league are protecting just 8 players - I imagine some teams have more difficult choices to make than others.
So, with that said, here is who the NetsDaily team has agreed on keeping as our protected players.
PROTECTED: D’Angelo Russell, Caris LeVert, Jeremy Lin, Allen Crabbe, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, DeMarre Carroll, Spencer Dinwiddie and Jarrett Allen.
UNPROTECTED: Trevor Booker, Quincy Acy, Sean Kilpatrick, Joe Harris, Isaiah Whitehead and Timofey Mozgov.
Now, of course, this doesn’t mean we say goodbye to these players - we just wait and see if the Seattle team will pick up any of the unprotected.
Agree or disagree with our choices?
