Summer League 2017 Live Thread: Nets vs. Lakers, 10:00 PM EST

NBA: Summer League-Los Angeles Lakers at Cleveland Cavaliers Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

The Brooklyn Nets (3-2) are in the 2017 Las Vegas Summer League quarterfinals, after having beat the Denver Nuggets on Thursday. Next up is the Los Angeles Lakers, led by some fella named Lonzo Ball.

Tip-off is at 10:00 PM EST, and the game can be found on ESPNU.

The Lakers are also 3-2 in Summer League play, with Ball leading the way having dropped a rather impressive two triple doubles in five games. Overall, he’s averaging 17 points, 8.3 rebounds and 9.8 assists.

Meanwhile, the Nets have been leaning on a familiar core, led by Caris LeVert and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, which includes five guys who played on the team last season - Archie Goodwin, Spencer Dinwiddie and Isaiah Whitehead, being the other three.

Another Brooklyn player to keep an eye on is Milton Doyle who scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting in 15 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday. Yes, another wing player with promise.

With all that said, naturally this is going to be an all-eyes-on-Lonzo kind of affair, with what’s expected to be a sell-out crowd in Vegas.

Meanwhile, if the Nets win they move on to the semifinals on Sunday.
