Andrei Vatutin, president of CSKA Moscow, wasted no time in his attempt to keep Milos Teodosic in Europe. On the same day his team won the VTB, Russia’s national league, Vatutin offered Teodosic a new deal. TASS, the big Russian news agency, tweeted the news...
CSKA offered new contract to Milos Teodosic. "We want his decision as soon as possible",- stated CSKA president Vatutin

According to reports coming out of Europe Wednesday, CSKA wants to make the 30-year-old the highest paid player outside the NBA, offering him 12 million euros ($13.5 million) over three years. At $4.5 million per year, Teodosic would make nearly twice as much as any other Euro. As per usual with European sports, the team will pay taxes up front.
The Nets have scouted Teodosic multiple times and he’s believed to be either their top target in free agency or very near the top.
Just last month, Vatutin told David Pick one thing is certain about the 6’5” point guard’s future. If Telodosic gets an NBA offer, he’s gone. Neither CSKA nor any other European team will be able to match an NBA offer. Pick wrote then that people close to Teodosic believe he’s interested in a three-year deal worth $25 to $30 million.
“Milos is unique. He is as unique as Nando De Colo, Victor Khryapa and all of my players,” Vatutin told Pick, referring to CSKA’s other big stars. “But if an NBA team makes him an offer - it will be impossible to compete with." In fact, CSKA’s total payroll is only about $25 million.
Just last week, Kartashov reported that at the least the Nets, Heat and Kings were interested in the player most NBA GM’s believe is the best outside the NBA.
Teodosic said in March that he would start talking about his plans —and fielding offers— once the season was over. It ended Tuesday. On Wednesday, Teodosic said he will take some time to rest and think about his options. He gave no indication as when he will make a decision.
"We had a great season, which was very difficult, given the new Euroleague format Unfortunately, we did not win there, but had better success in the VTB United League.” Teodosic told TASS. “Now I want to have a good rest and decide where to continue my career. At the moment I'm lost in thought. "
