Draftniks still think Nets are going big next month

Now that the NCAA early-entry withdrawal deadline has passed and both teams and draftniks know who’s out there, mock drafts have changed. No more Hamidou Diallo or Andrew Jones or Mo Wagner or Rawle Alkins, all of whom were linked to the Nets at one point or another, on one mock or another.

Another milestone passed this week: We’re now less than a month away from the Draft. So here’s our latest survey. Most of the mocks have been updated since Wednesday’s deadline.

So what does the latest survey tell us? Draftniks think the Nets will take a big, maybe two, on Draft Night. The same names keep popping up: Isaiah Hartenstein of Germany, Harry Giles of Duke, Justin Patton of Creighton, Ivan Rabb of Cal, Bam Adebayo of Kentucky (who is getting more attention.) Some mocks have the Nets taking two bigs.

There are a few new names in the most recent mocks: D.J. Wilson, the 6’11” stretch 4 from Michigan who’s close to Caris LeVert; Terrance Ferguson, the 6’7” shooting guard who spent a year playing professionally in Australia; and Josh Hart, the 6’5” senior swingman who helped Villanova to the 2016 NCAA championship and the 2017 Big East championship

NOTES: About half of the mocks updated after the early entry withdrawal deadline. Where sites had individual reporters post their own mocks, we chose the first one.

Only a few mocks go 1-through-60. As the Draft gets closer, the number will increase.
