Hamidou Diallo has a little more than a week to decide whether to stay in the NBA Draft as a none-and-done or return to Kentucky and wait until 2018. To make sure he gets as much feedback as possible, the Queens shooting guard is participating in workouts this week, including a session at HSS Training Center on Thursday.
Adam Zagoria broke the news...
Kentucky G @Diallo1Hamidou worked out for the Bulls yesterday and the Bucks today, source tells ZAGSBLOG. Has @BrooklynNets Nets on Thursday

The Nets are one of three teams with two picks in the 20’s, at Nos. 22 and 27, draftniks note. The others are the Trail Blazers at 20 and 26 and the Jazz at 24 and 30.
“Three teams in the 20’s have multiple picks,” one industry source told Zagoria. “I would definitely take him in that range.”
The Nets workout will pit the 18-year-old against two veteran guards with experience in the Final Four: Josh Hart of Villanova and Tyler Dorsey of Oregon. You don’t know if the Nets planned it that way, but it certainly has its advantages, particularly since both Hart and Dorsey are good defenders. Caleb Swanigan, the Purdue big man, is also scheduled to be in.
Zagoria also quotes Fran Fraschilla, the ESPN commentator and former St. John’s coach, about Diallo. He thinks it would work.
“I would not be surprised myself if his combination of athleticism and skill opens some eyes, and then he’ll have a tough decision,” ESPN’s Fran Fraschilla said on The 4 Quarters Podcast. “Do you want to be the 25th pick in this year’s Draft, or do you want to have a chance to maybe be a top-10 pick after your freshman year? I don’t think there’s any question a team will take him in the first round, based on just his age, his size for a guard and that crazy combination of skill and athleticism.”
No indication that Diallo has a first round pick just yet. He doesn’t have an agent but is relying on AAU contacts for advice. A first round pick might sway him.
