As of Saturday, the Nets have the 23rd, 26th, and 56th pick in the draft. The Indiana pick is fading fast.
1. Miami's defeat last night was a killer. Miami is now out of the playoff picture by 1 full game. Miami has Washington, Cleveland and Washington left. Indiana has Orlando, Philly and Atlanta. Chicago has your Brooklyn Nets twice and Orlando left. Indiana needs to finish one game better than Chicago and Miami due to lack of tiebreakers.
2. Boston's pick still stands at 26th. However, upon further review, it looks like this pick can actually drop a few slots. Let's hope this happens.
3. Washington's pick still stands at the 23rd slot. The Washington pick can land between 22nd through 25th.
4. It’s official. The Celtics will have the best odds at the overall No. 1 in the lottery. The Suns victory over the Thunder Friday night ensured that.
NOTES
The Nets also have $3.425 million in cash considerations to purchase a pick, if they choose.
Ties among teams that finish the 2016-17 NBA regular season with identical records are broken through random drawings on April 13, the day after the regular season ends. Playoff seeding does NOT play a role in draft order.
