Entertainment Weekly reports that Jeremy Lin —with poofed-up hair— will appear in an episode of “Fresh Off The Boat” airing next Tuesday night.
Is this what that Jimmy Neutron hairstyle was all about? We’ll have to tune in (or set the DVR. The episode will air during the Nets home gave vs. OKC.)
Lin is part of a cast of young Asian American celebrities who will appear on the show in 80’s flashback segment. The normally ’90s-set series will take viewers back a decade to see at Louis’ (Randall Park) collegiate drinking days.
In addition to Lin, there’ll be comedians Ali Wong and Sheng Wang and actress Ming-Na Wen.
Here’s the full episode description:
“Louis excitedly plans a guys’ weekend for he and Eddie, but is disappointed when he invites his buddies over for a sleepover instead. Unbeknownst to Louis, Eddie and his friends were hiding out in his room, trying beer for the first time. So when Eddie has an adverse reaction to alcohol, also known as the Asian Flush, Louis reassures his eldest son that the discomfort will pass and reminisces about his college drinking days. Meanwhile, Jessica, Emery, Evan, and Honey go on a road trip to Georgia in search of “The Big Peanut” and to save a few dollars on a piece of furniture.”
We assume Lin is among the “friends.” But we will have to wait for Tuesday. Could be an eventful night for Lin, acting and defending Russell Westbrook. We think we’d prefer the former.
