Adrian Wojnarowski, commenting on Yahoo's free agency special, said that Jay-Z, Kevin Durant's agent and former Nets minority owner, tried to get Brooklyn an interview with KD, but the summer's big free agent refused.
Jay Z & Roc Nation begged Durant to at least meet w/ #Nets and he said no, according to @WojVerticalNBA. #NBAFreeAgency

The Nets had hoped that their various connections with Durant would help them get a foot in the door, but no luck. NetsDaily laid out the connections last month...
--His agent is Jay-Z, who still has good relations with the franchise;
--His management company is RocNation, Jay-Z's company, which is headed by Michael Yormark, Brett's twin brother;
--His personal trainer, shooting coach and friend -- Adam Harrington -- recently accepted a job with the Nets as director of player development/assistant coach.
--His pastor and spiritual guide, Carl Lentz, has his Hillsong church in Manhattan and lives in Brooklyn.
--His broken foot was repaired last year by Dr. Martin O'Malley, the Nets' foot and ankle specialist at the Hospital for Special Surgery. In May, KD told another one of O'Malley's patients, Nets draft pick Caris LeVert, "Once Doc finishes with you, you’ll be like brand new."
But that was not enough obviously. Durant is in the process of meeting with other teams, including Oklahoma City, Golden State, Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio, Boston and Miami.
