Jan Vesely, the 6'11" Czech big man whose NBA career was best known for the passionate kiss he gave his girlfriend on Draft Night 2011, has garnered the Nets interest, according to a respected Turkish basketball writer.

Vesely, who played his season in Turkey, was ultimately dumped by the Wizards who drafted him that night and the Nuggets, returning to Europe where he has resurrected his career both in Euroleague and FIBA play. In a preseason game last October, Vesely scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds in Fenerbahce's 110-96 win over the Nets.

Sportando, the European hoops blog, quoted a Turkish tweet by the writer that the Nets, Mavericks and Pelicans are all interested in the 26-year-old.

As reported by Ismail Senol, the Dallas Mavericks, the Brooklyn Nets  and the New Orleans Pelicans are among the teams interested in big-man Jan Vesely. He'll be a free-agent this summer after a very strong season with Fenerbahce and may return to the NBA.

Sportando, also quoting Senol, suggested that Vesely could wind up a contract as high as $30 million over three years.

Meanwhile, Ian Begley of ESPN reports the Nets are also interested in Lance Thomas, the 6'8" Knick forward from Duke (who was born in Brooklyn). Thomas, a defensive specialist, is also being pursued by the Mavs and Thunder.  The Nets invited Thomas to their training camp in 2010, but cut him.
