Why, it's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Something quite precocious!
That's really the only reaction possible to word from India that Brook Lopez and twin brother Robin purchased the yellow jacket Dick VanDyke wore in "Mary Poppins," part of their growing movie memorabilia collection. It's not just comic books.
The Economic Times reports that the jacket from the 1964 movie was a bit pricey, but remember, these two did sign contracts totalling $110 million last summer.
"Brook and I collect movie memorabilia and there are a few costume pieces we have picked up over the years," Robin told the website while on a recent visit to India. "One of our most expensive purchases was a Mary Poppins jacket — the yellow and red birch jacket that Dick Van Dyke wears. We paid between $20,000-$30,000 for it."
That, it turns out, is the most memorable of the movie memorabilia the two have already picked up.
Robin also has the Indiana Jones outfit from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Well, except for the fedora. "But I hope to get that soon."
