David Nurse, who was hired as a shooting coach in February, will not be back with the Nets next season.
Hoopshype broke the news...
One of the worst shooting teams early in the season, the Nets led the NBA in three-point shooting in February-March with Nurse there.

Specifically, in the 25 games between the time Nurse was hired and the decision to shut down Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young, the Nets shot 40.7 percent from deep, tops in the league during that span, and 48.5 percent overall, also tops in the league.
However, at around same time, the Nets under interim coach Tony Brown opened up the offense, which naturally led to higher percentages.
Turnover among assistant coaches is not surprising after a new head coach takes the reins. So, the Nets have only announced one new assistant coach, Jacque Vaughn, who will be Kenny Atkinson's lead assistant. In addition, Jordan Ott, who worked with Atkinson in Atlanta, has been reportedly hired as an assistant with Brooklyn.
