Sean Marks talks about the role of family, personal aspects in Nets rebuild

Sean Marks talked to YES Network this week about the more personal aspect of being the GM of an NBA team, appreciating the family pressures players feel and the need to connect with them as individuals, knowing that a player might "just need a hug."

It's always been a focus of the Spurs culture and he wants to bring it to Brooklyn. He hopes as well that the culture will become a big lure of the Nets as soon as this summer. But first, he noted as he has before, that he'll need to install the right people in staff positions.

"Once the staff is in place, the players will see this is not the same Nets, something is different with the Nets, that there's something special here," Marks said about free agency.
