Ian Eagle meets with broadcasting "students"

Brooklyn Nets

You could say it was very Spurs-like.

Four Nets players -- Willie Reed, Wayne Ellington, Markel Brown and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson -- met for a half hour Wednesday with Ian Eagle at the team hotel in Portland. They talked about careers in broadcasting and no doubt, what makes the YES broadcasts the best in the business. Sports Broadcasting 101 with Professor Eagle.

Considering they're all between the ages of 21 and 28, those careers would seem a long way off, but it's never too early to ask the expert. And  how serious they all look!.

The players had expressed an interest in the broadcasting business earlier in the season and Matt Riccardi, the Nets' Senior Manager for Basketball Operations, arranged it this week.  (Back in October, Riccardi also arranged a visit to the National Civil Rights Museum at the site of Martin Luther King's assassination in Memphis.)
