The Nets have sought and received permission to interview Gersson Rosass and Arturas Karnisovas, the No. 2's in the Rockets and Nuggets front offices respectively, for the vacant GM job in Brooklyn. Both men have been identified as serious candidates for the job vacated by Billy King last month.
Calvin Watkins of ESPN first reported the Houston decision Tuesday.

Earlier, the Nets received permission from Denver to talk with Karnisovas. Both Rosas and Karnisovas are under contract. So, the Nets had to seek permission to interview them. Most assistant GMs have an "out" in their contract permitting them to leave before the expiration of their deals. It's not known if either has been interviewed.
Rosas, 37, and Karnisovas, 44, were identified by Adrian Wojnarowski last week as among four serious candidates for the GM job. Bryan Colangelo and Danny Ferry were identified as the others.
