In a pre-game discussion with reporters, GM Sean Marks tried to project a positive outlook on Jeremy Lin’s second hamstring injury, calling it less severe. But he could offer no timetable for his return.

In the meantime, the Nets will lean on rookie Isaiah Whitehead at point guard as well, beginning Wednesday night in Chicago.
