On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, the United States of America elected Donald Trump as its next president, as he defeated Hillary Clinton in a way-too long election battle.
The election itself was historic for many reasons, but also very much polarizing and dividing.
As he has before, Jeremy Lin, the Nets leader both on and off the basketball court, weighed in to give his perspective, which was, as it tends to be, measured and hopeful.
This election is about wayyy more than race, but it further revealed how big a topic race is and how big of an issue racism still is, sadly.

But long-term, real change requires unification, reconciliation and compassion...one small step at a time. Spread love today!

Take heart, spread love and be good to one another. Those are constants, always, and certainly a message that we all need to take to heart these days.
