Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

The pace quickens now, with Media Day Monday in East Rutherford, the last such event in New Jersey.  On Tuesday, the team will be practicing at Duke, returning on Saturday for Monday's first preseason game with Fenerbahce Ulker, Bojan Bogdanovic's old team from Istanbul.

For those with partially guaranteed deals, there are a number of key dates as well, starting with Tuesday when Markel Brown's deal becomes fully guaranteed, bringing the number of players with such deals to 13.  Count on it.

Here we go...

September 28 -- Media Day, at the Nets practice facility in East Rutherford, the first official gathering for the new roster, the last Media Day for New Jersey

For the first five days of camp, the team will work out and practice far away from the bright lights of New York, just like they did two years ago.  Teams can bring 20 players to camp and that's the number who will be suiting up Tuesday.  At some point, Mikhail Prokhorov will join the club in North Carolina.
