The Nets will sign Yanick Moreira, a 6'11" center who starred for Angola in FIBA and played for Larry Brown at SMU, to a training camp contract, reports Yahoo's Shams Charania.  Moreira's signing will bring the Nets training camp roster to 19. two more than last season.  He is also the fourth international player on the roster, joining three Europeans.

Moreira, who went undrafted this June, seemed to confirm the agreement.

Moreira, 24, averaged 17.8 points and 8.2 rebounds in last year's FIBA World Cup, including 38 points vs. Australia, then 11 and 6 for SMU this past season. He played for the Clippers in the summer, in one game going for 21 points and four blocks. He then returned to FIBA competition, averaging 11 and 7 in AfroBasket.  He's long and athletic, as these highlight reels, one from FIBA and one from SMU, show.

The Nets now have eight big men headed to camp: Brook Lopez, Thaddeus Young, Thomas Robinson, Andrea Bargnani, Willie Reed, Quincy Miller, Chris McCullough and Moreira.  McCullough will train with the team but will not practice as he continues to recover from a torn ACL.
