Brooklyn Nets to host Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul in preseason game at Barclays

New, comments

The Brooklyn Nets and General Manager Billy King announced that they will be hosting Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul of the Turkish Basketball League during a preseason game at Barclays Center on October 5, 2015, at 7:30 PM.

You may recognize the team, Nets fans, as it is current Nets' wing Bojan Bogdanovic's former team.  Moreover, it is the current home of Bogdan Bogdanovic, the Phoenix draft pick of two years ago.  The two are often confused and in fact, on Draft Night 2014, ESPN showed highlights of Bojan's career when Phoenix picked Bogdan!  Bogdan, however, is four inches shorter than Bojan and Serbian.

"We are excited to be hosting Fenerbahce, as it will be a reunion for Bojan Bogdanovic with his former team," said Billy King. "Our fans will have an opportunity to see one of the best coached teams in all of Europe when they come to Brooklyn."

Bogdanovic, of course, is a huge supporter of his former team, so this should be a fun one for him.

The Nets have not yet released any other preseason dates at this time, but as in the past they have played host to at least one International team during the preseason. This one, though, has a little extra meaning to it.  Go Bogdanovics.
