Are Mirza Teletovic and Alan Anderson gone?

New, comments

With Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young done deals, the Nets other two unrestricted free agents, Mirza Teletovic and Alan Anderson increasingly look like long shots to return to Brooklyn.

Tim Bontemps tweeted Tuesday morning that the competition for the 6'9" Bosnian stretch 4 includes European clubs, although Teletovic has told local press that he intends to stay in the NBA and even his Nets qualifying offer, $4.21 million, would be among the highest, if not the highest in Europe.

The asking price for Teletovic may indeed be higher than the $4.21 million qualifying offer  the Nets have tendered Teletovic, who at 30 is no doubt looking for his last big deal.

Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports that the Wizards are interested in Anderson. Earlier Tuesday. Ken Berger of CBS Sports said Anderson, who had his best season ever with the Nets, is looking for $3 million to $4 million.  Anderson is 33.

The Nets will also be spending money on Tuesday. Markel Brown's partially guaranteed second year deal kicks in on July 2. He will receive $100,000 towards a full guarantee of a little more than $800,000.  He will be fully guaranteed by training camp.
