Nets summer league squads filling up

Josh Gasser, the starting shooting guard for NCAA runner-up Wisconsin, will play for the Nets in both the Orlando and Las Vegas summer leagues. Gasser, a 6'4" point guard, played with first round picks Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker on the Badgers, who lost to Duke in the national championship game.

Gasser joins two other high-profile collegte players whose decision to play for the Nets was reported Saturday: Cliff Alexander of Kansas and Ryan Boatright of UConn. In addition, JayVaughn Pinkston of Villanova (and before that Fort Greene) has been invited.

Here's the list of players reported to be on the one or both of the Nets' summer league rosters. We count 17, based on reports on Twitter and from Mark Porcaro, who keeps tabs on the NBA and international basketball and has put together a list of SL rosters. The Orlando Magic Pro Summer League opens July 4; the NBA Summer League a week later.

Markel Brown, 6'4" SG, Brooklyn Nets; Cory Jefferson; 6'9" PF, Brooklyn Nets; Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, 6'7" SF, Brooklyn Nets (Arizona); Juan Pablo Vaulet, 6'6" SF, Brooklyn Nets (Bahia Blanca).

D-League:

Xavier Thames, 6'3" PG, Ft. Wayne Mad Ants (draft rights held by Nets); Jonathon Simmons, 6'6" SF, Austin Spurs.

College Basketball:

Cliff Alexander, 6'9" PF, Kansas; Ryan Boatright, 5'11" PG, UConn; Josh Gasser, 6'4" PG, Wisconsin; JayVaughn Pinkston, 6'7" PF, Villanova; Kendall Gray, 6'10" C, Delaware State; Ben Vozzola, 6'6" SF, Cal State, Northridge; DeShawn Delaney, 6'5" PG, New Mexico.

International Basketball:

Juvonte Reddic, 6'9" PF, Virtus Bologna, Italy, via VCU; Steve Gray, 6'5" SG, Dijon, France, via Gonzaga; Austin Hollins, 6'4" SG, Denain, France, via Minnesota; Darius Adams, 6'2" PG, Laboral Kutxa, Spain via University of Indianapolis.

Also, 6'9" French SF Jordan Aboudou has received invitations to NBA summer league with the Memphis Grizzlies, Brooklyn Nets and Dallas Mavericks as he negotiates his release from BCM Gravelines in France, a source told RealGM.

Two injured Nets, Sergey Karasev and Chris McCullough are expected to travel with the summer league team. Lionel Hollins will coach the team.
