First preseason Brooklyn Nets game set

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The 76ers announced Thursday that they will play a preseason game vs. the Nets on October 10 in Albany, NY, at the Times Union Center.  The full preseason schedule won't be announced until the end of July.  The preseason usually begins a week after camp opens, meaning the Philly game would be likely be the second game of a six or eight game schedule.

Tickets as low as $22 are available this Saturday, May 30th at the Times Union Center box office, charge by phone at 800-745-3000, select Walmart music centers or online at timesunion.com.  For more information, please visit timesunioncenter-albany.com.

The 76ers could very well feature the last two No. 3 picks in the NBA Draft. Joel Embiid, the No. 3 pick out of Kansas last June, is expected to make his NBA debut in 2015-16 after sitting out all last year.  Philly has the No. 3 pick in this June's draft as well.

The Nets last played in Albany during the 2009 preseason when they went up against the Knicks at the Times Union Center. The Knicks and Celtics played the last preseason game at Times Union Center on Oct. 20, 2012 in front of a crowd of over 13,000.  The highest attendance for an NBA preseason game in Albany was a sellout crowd of 16,049 who saw Larry Bird help lead Boston to a 93-86 win over Washington on Oct. 26, 1991.
