Thaddeus Young was trailing behind Alan Anderson in the middle of the third quarter when he stepped on Gerald Henderson and his left knee and ankle both twisted. Here is the video.

The Nets announced minutes later that Young was diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee and that X-rays were negative and would be out for the remainder of the game. Young will be re-evaluated on Thursday.

Young's wife, Shekinah, added that the injury was not serious

Young was down for some time and Brook Lopez called instantly for trainer Tim Walsh to come to Young's side. The entire Nets bench was cleared to be near their fallen teammate who has been one of the team's best players since he was acquired at the trade deadline for Kevin Garnett.

Young did walk off to the locker room under his own power, which is a great sign for the newest Net.

After the game, Young said he hoped to be back soon and expected to undergo an MRI Thursday morning in New Jersey.  He also expected to be sore.
