Sergey Karasev will undergo knee surgery Thursday morning at the Hospital for Special Suregery in Manhattan to repair a dislocated kneecap and a torn MCL in his right knee. Karasev is out for the season. He hurt his knee in the fourth quarter of the Nets 20-point loss to the Pelicans Tuesday.

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Sergey Karasev has been diagnosed with a dislocated patella and a torn MCL of the right knee, along with multiple loose bodies in the knee joint, General Manager Billy King announced. The injury occurred during the fourth quarter of last night's game versus New Orleans. Karasev will undergo surgery tomorrow, March 12th, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan and will be out for the remainder of the season.
Karasev, the youngest Net, was acquired in a trade last July that brought the Nets Jarrett Jack as well. He averaged 4.6 points in 33 games, 16 of them starts.
