Grade the NBA Trade: Kevin Garnett for Thaddeus Young

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Great, you were able to sleep off yesterday's NBA Trade Deadline. One in which the Brooklyn Nets made a move to trade Kevin Garnett to the Minnesota Timberwolves and just missed on another that was rumored to have involved four teams -- the Thunder, Timberwolves and Wizards being the other three.

We've already heard from the experts on how they graded the Nets trade and their trade deadline performance. Now, we want to hear from the fans.

Taking into account more what the Nets did than what they didn't do, how would you grade the day?

My take: Brooklyn won the trade, easily, in getting Young from the Timberwolves in exchange for Garnett, who certainly is the heart and soul of this team, but, who is also a guy capable of playing 15-18 minutes and in need of rest on back-to-backs. In basketball terms, yeah, the Nets certainly won this trade. Easily.

In terms of what didn't happen, I wouldn't quite hold that against the Nets. Four-team trades involving near double-digit number of players aren't easy to put together. However, while the Nets felt they were close getting the bigger deal done, good on the Thunder for continuing to shop as the deadline approached. The Nets, on the other hand, didn't seem to have anything else brewing -- at least as far as "we" know. And if they did, it wasn't as close to being done, clearly, as the Thunder deal was.

On the trade, I give the Nets an 'A'. On the day overall, I would give them a 'B'.

Who cares what I think, though. Let's see how you guys would grade the day.
