HSS Training Center getting closer

New, comments

There's less than two months to go before the Nets officially open the HSS Training Center in Industry City, Brooklyn and much of the heavy construction is complete. Now, it's the detail work and installation of everything from windows and doors to training equipment and industrial washer-driers.

Baskets are up and the practice courts themselves will be installed nearer the February opening. On Wednesday, the first of the practice court scoreboards was installed. The divots you see on the floor in the practice court photos are part of the mechanism used to hold the sections of the court in place.

Again, won't be long before it looks like this...

and this...

Thanks as always to Irina Pavlova for the update.

(Meanwhile, the New York Times is reporting that the neighborhood surrounding the training facility has become the city's new hip party spot.)
