It's called the "12 Days of Giving" -- and the Nets are embracing the initiative both as a team and as individuals. Over the last few days...
--The whole team visited Atlantic Terminal Mall to surprise 50 local kids with holiday gifts.
--Jarrett Jack went to the Burlington Coat Factory store in East New York to tell customers that anything they had on layaway would be paid off.
--Markel Brown and Chris McCullough took a trip to Maimonides Medical Center, the Nets hometown hospital, to visit children and bring some holiday cheer.
--Thaddeus Young and his wife surprised local students in Brooklyn with 250 holiday gifts.
--Wayne Ellington surprised customers with gift cards and groceries at Key Food in Brooklyn, part of a long-running program with Key.
The event is part of the Brooklyn Nets Assist program which stands to support four key pillars: Education, Athletics, Health & Wellness, and Community Development. Look for more events this week.
